MEMBERSHIPS

Membership Requirements and Safety Guidelines

To fly at our club, MAAC membership is mandatory. MAAC does not extend its benefits or insurance coverage to individuals who are not members. As part of the club charter, MAAC provides field insurance and extends coverage to both the modeler and the flying site, as long as all club members are MAAC members. Please note: in the event of an accident causing property damage, MAAC insurance carries a $500 deductible.

In addition to MAAC membership, a current Transport Canada RPAS certificate and club membership are also required. Non-members are not permitted to use the flying facility or receive instruction. The club has specific policies regarding introductory flights and guest flyers. These rules can be reviewed in our public documents folder.

It is important that you familiarize yourself with both the MAAC safety codes and the club’s rules and regulations governing the use of the HCRCC flying site. These guidelines are designed to help ensure safe flying practices and promote a positive experience for all members. Violations of these rules may result in the revocation of your flying privileges.
